Marion Brown

Marion Brown has been making a feminist difference for women for at least the past 30 years, in fact for her whole working life.

She began through her work as a lawyer at The Women’s Legal Resource Centre where she advised women, including Aboriginal women, on legal issues relating to family law, family violence, sexual assault, and housing. Later she served on the Board of Dymphna House, an incest counselling service set up by feminists, where she took on advisory, management, and mentoring roles.

Lewina Jackson

Lewina Jackson is known throughout the NSW Sexual Assault sector for her outstanding contribution. Based at the Eastern and Central Sexual Assault Counselling Service she has worked tirelessly for over fifteen years to assist survivors, going to court with clients, providing individual and group therapy, running education and awareness campaigns and participating in rallies.

Jude Finch

For many years Jude Finch has worked with women and families in the Blue Mountains through The Blue Mountains Women’s Health Centre, and The Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre in areas such as mental health, children and family services, and health promotion.

Thirteen years ago she founded Blue Mountains East Timor Sisters which works to improve the lives of women and girls in Timor Leste. The group has raised nearly one million dollars to support women’s projects.
