Anne Junor | For Making a Feminist Difference in Workforce

Anne’s work has made a feminist difference to women by contributing to improved practical outcomes for women working in areas where their skills are critical to effective performance of their jobs in providing care for others.

Anne’s work has contributed to a greater understanding of women’s skills that are often overlooked and undervalued. Her work has developed new understandings of how to identify and categorise skills in ways that have considerable potential to improve how that work is done, as well as to improve the recognition and pay of those who provide care.

This work is a significant contribution to the international literature on skills.

Anne’s work has made a practical difference to many women through her contributions to gender-related undervaluation cases such as social and community care workers, school support workers, and aged care workers.

Her work has resulted in significant pay rises for the women in those roles.
