Louise Hislop has worked to create a more representative, diverse, and feminist parliament.
She was initially politically motivated by her desire for climate action, an inherently feminist issue and a ‘threat multiplier’ for women – with research showing girls and women are disproportionately negatively impacted.
As Founding President of ‘Voices for Warringah’ which successfully campaigned to elect Zali Steggall in 2019, and Campaign Advisor to Sophie Scamps successful 2022 bid, her political activity has significantly contributed to the arrival of the largest crossbench in Australia’s history – most of whom are women!
With climate, gender equality, and integrity in politics top of mind, Louise’s work has indeed achieved outcomes that have far-reaching implications for Australian women.
